365 Bimbos - San Fransisco

Woke up around 11:00am this morning and we were still driving... which was a bit weird because the drive up from Los Angeles to San Fransisco was only supposed to be 6 hours... but it turned out that we had drive via Medesto to pick up our trailer... on the way up to San Fransisco, Dana (Joses sound engineer) stuck on 'Fishing with John' which is this ridiculous fishing tv show where John Lurie (of the Lounge Lizards) takes his celebrity friends - incl. Jim Jarmusch and Tom Waits - fishing all over the world.... so funny! Eventually we arrived at 365 Bimbos about an hour before soundcheck so we went and got some more mexican food in a place that was apparently famous for its burritos... so I had a burrito (but it wasn't really that good to be honest...)... souncheck was a bit of a rush but we managed to get the levels set enough to be able to do the show... at first the venue seemed pretty empty but by the time we got on stage there was a nice turn out and they were all waiting at the front... the show went really well apart from some weird monitoring vibes toward the end... it got that bad that we had to stop in the middle of 'Rear Moth' and get the monitor guy to change some cables... but apart from the technical mess we all had a laugh so it was all good.... after the show was done we all got into the tour bus and watched Phil Collins first farewell tour... what better way to end the evening...
